Empties #18

I like how Fun Size Beauty includes her total number of empties, almost like a monthly and yearly tally, and I thought I would start doing it as well. However, it is already September so I shall just do a monthly tally and start the yearly count when we hit 2016!

Make Up
There are only 2 make up items this month and they are both lip products.
Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 03 Strawberry Kiss - I have had this for a few years now (whoops) but I could not bear to say goodbye and have already repurchased a new one. This is one of my favourite red as a blue pink based red suits me best.

Urban Decay Lip Junkie in Naked - This is slightly minty and the dinky size means that it is easy to cart around. I am chucking this as I have had it for a while and think that it is really time to say goodbye. A nice nude gloss, if you don't like minty lip products, stay well clear!

Skincare

Starting with these two Simple products that I came home to after a year....
Simple Deep Cleansing Face Mask - I thought it was time to bin this as it is old but remember liking it as a mask. It is not super deep cleansing but is definitely cleansing. Good enough for the price point, I don't mind repurchasing.

Simple Protecting Moisture Cream - I was not blown away by this and was not a fan of the texture of this cream so I will not be repurchasing. It comes with SPF10 so I could not use it in the evenings as the texture is a bit heavier than I like for the mornings.

Next, I have two toners.
Lancome Softening Hydrating Toner - This was nice but is not something I will be repurchasing.

The Face Shop Pore Minimiser Controlling Toner with Powder - I actually really like this and even though there is a slight fragrance, it smells nice and fresh. I am not sure if the powder actually controls oil but it has been a nice step in my skincare. I probably will not repurchase as I like to try other toners.

Shiseido Anessa Sunscreen SPF50+ PA+++ - I used this 2 years ago when I was back in Malaysia and it was not oily and a really nice sunscreen for the face. I must say that sunscreens have come a long way since then and there are cheaper alternatives to this which I am loving at the moment so I don't think I will be repurchasing.

Hazeline Snow Moisturising Cream- Something my mum used to use when she was younger and really liked, so I picked one up to try. It does feel cooling on the skin and refreshing but the slight white cast meant I saved it for evening use and I don't actually think it is moisturising enough so I will not be repurchasing this.

Simple Micellar Cleansing Wipes - These wipes are infused with the Simple Micellar Water, which I actually have no tried but I quite like how thick and steady these wipes are, but I cannot get a hold of them over in Malaysia. I also did not pay full price for them and don't think I will buy them unless they are on sale. Sorry I am a cheapskate. PS: I usually use wipes to remove make up from my fingers during application and for swatches removal.

Haircare
Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Conditioner - I really loved using this and even though there is Demethicone, I feel like it did help my skin feel super silky and lovely so I can't fault it. I may repurchase.

Carlton Brasilian Mango Hydro Balance Treatment - This smells so beautiful, really like real juicy mangoes and it felt quite nourishing. I am looking for a cheaper hair mask and like to try new ones so I am holding off repurchasing at the moment.

Dove Damage Solutions Intense Repair Hair Conditioner - I still have lots of these samples and while they work, I am not very impressed as they just feel like regular conditioner and my hair really needs SUPER conditioning. Hello Frizz Alert.

Oral Care
Normally just miscellaneous, I have labelled this oral care as the two items are both oral hygiene products.
Oral- B Pro Health Tooth & Gum Care Mouth Rinse Spearmint Flavour - There is a green version but this is the blue (spearmint flavour) and it is really nice, without any burning sensation and possibly the nicest mouthwash I have ever used.

Darlie Toothpaste - A toothpaste I always use, I really like these Darlie ones, more than any Colgate or Oral-B toothpaste!

Bodycare

Lastly, these bodycare items.

L'occitane Magical Leaves Exfoliating Shower Gel - This smells REALLY fresh and lovely but I had picked it up a few years ago from Bicester Village and I have actually not seen it since.... I do really like it and the hazelnut scrubs are lovely, not too scrubby and not too gentle.

Aesop Coriander Seed Body Cleanser - I still don't know how I feel about this as some days I love the scent and some days I am like.... WHAT IS THIS. There is no doubt that I like the packaging and will be keeping it for travel, but I don't think I will be repurchasing this particular shower gel.

Life NK Cocooning Body Lotion - The scent does not last as long as I like but this was quite nice. However, I have read that Life NK is being discontinued, hence the discounted prices I got this at.

Gaya Centre Hotel Body Lotion - Your bog standard hotel body lotions, kind of sticky, kind of not moisturising... kind of not my thing. I like to pack my own body lotions, and yes, I am a snob.

Sherpa Tensing Sunscreen - I nicked this from my lovely Swiss friend at his house (okay he gave it to me) as it feels so light on the skin and is just great as a sunscreen but it now has to go as it is quite old and I am sure the SPF no longer works.

Bioglo Pure Aloe Skin Relief Gel - This is really nice but I have had to bin it as the gel is meant to be clear but mine has gone kind of brown. I think that says BIN. Screams it in fact!

Phew, that's all this month. Congratulations if you made it all the way through and let me know what you have finished this month!
